Well we’ve had our drubbing let’s hope that we can eke out a win.

Villa have won ten league games this season ( same as Newcastle ) and sit top of the bottom ten. Fourteen away points from four wins, two draws and six defeats.

Our home form is nvg having so far collected just seventeen points from twelve home games wining five drawing two and losing five. Statistically this game is more a win result than a draw.

A draw is no real good to us so hopefully Moyes will, out of character, set us up tactically to go for a win from the start.

The least I expect is to go on the attack and actually try to win.

Hard to be very confident about this, but if the team that thrashed Forest turns up, rather than the one that meekly surrendered to Brighton, you never know. The toxic atmosphere around the club may have been very slightly relieved by the win in Cyprus, but could still affect the players, especially if we go behind.

I would agree with most of dealcanvey's selection, though I can't really say I'm too bothered about the question of Soucek vs Downes, who was very ordinary against Larnaca. Wouldn't mind seeing Lanzini over Fornals, who continues to frustrate, constantly losing possession but capable of the odd flash of brilliance.... once in a while. On the left wing, I continue to be amazed by the fact that Moyes seems to have completely forgotten that Antonio used to play (pretty decently) as a winger. You just know he'll pick Benrahma, but I would love to see the two of them rotating in that position.

Unless you're thinking of using Antonio instead of Bowen, I don't think I can remember Antonio being a pretty decent left winger.

I suppose he could play right wing-back, though I'm not sure he has the required defensive qualities any one.

It’s hard to see us winning this one. Forest held us for 65 mins and then collapsed for 10 mins.

Villa are solid now under Emery and press well and have an in form and pacy striker in Watkins.

Midfield is key and we have to boss it which we haven’t for most of the season.

Not hopeful ( I never am at tge best of times admittedly ) but a draw or narrow defeat beckons :-(

They have a tactically astute manager. We have Moyes. There can only be one outcome here. I hope there's a fucking riot following the Sullivan leaked news that Moyes stays even if (when) we get relegated. Burn the fucking place to the ground. Cunt.

Not sure about this one, primarily for two reason: 1) Moyes has a habit of winning ''must wins'' see Everton and Forest. 2) Villa blow hot and cold, albeit they have won their last two.

That said, gut says draw at best, which is no good.
